Star Parker attends Samoan Flag Day festivities

Chief Loa Pele Faletogo and Star Parker at the Samoan Flag Day

Star Parker celebrated Samoan Flag day that ran for a weeklong and was able to meet Chief Loa Pele Faletogo and enjoy the culture of the Samoans.

The American Samoans celebrate the day their Island country gained sovereignty to rule over its country under the protection of the United States of America and legally as a "possession" of the U.S.A. on April 17, 1899. This celebrated day consists of arts and cultural events reminiscent of the "old days" thus reaffirming its culture and history of over 300 years. The Federation celebrates flag day the last week of July to the first week of August each year.
